Nest Wales
Nest is a Welsh Government scheme that provides free, impartial energy advice and, for eligible households, a package of free home energy improvements.
What is offered?
If you are eligible, Nest can install a range of measures at no cost, including:
- New boilers
- Central heating systems
- Air source heat pumps
- Insulation (loft, cavity, and solid wall)
Eligibility
To be eligible for a free package of energy improvements, you must meet all three of the following criteria:
- Own or privately rent your home in Wales.
- Your home has an EPC rating of E, F, or G.
- You or someone you live with receives a means-tested benefit OR has a chronic respiratory, circulatory, or mental health condition and a low household income.

- Call the Nest helpline on 0808 808 2244 or visit the Nest website.
- An advisor will check your eligibility.
- If eligible, a whole-house assessment will be arranged to identify the best improvements for your home.
