Authors and contributors

Many pages on NetZeroNow carry a team byline because the work is collaborative. A typical guide may combine policy research, technical checking, product design, calculator maintenance, and editorial editing from more than one person.

Why some pages use a team byline

We use the “NetZeroNow Editorial Team” byline when:

  • a page has been substantially drafted, reviewed, and updated by multiple contributors
  • the work mixes editorial writing with calculator or product changes
  • a guide is maintained as a living reference rather than a one-off article

Editorial roles behind the site

Research and policy editing

This work focuses on grants, regulation, standards, tariffs, and public guidance. Researchers gather source material, compare changes, and identify what a household reader actually needs to know.

Technical review and product content

This work checks calculations, installation assumptions, terminology, and whether a page stays consistent with the related tools on the site.

Calculator and data maintenance

Interactive tools are reviewed for clarity, assumptions, and obvious edge cases. When default assumptions change, the related methodology notes should be updated too.

What every published page should include

  • a clear statement of scope and intended audience
  • complete sentences and useful explanatory copy, not just headings or teaser text
  • internal links to related guides, tools, or next steps
  • visible assumptions if the page includes estimates or financial comparisons
  • a route for readers to report errors or ask follow-up questions

External contributors

We welcome contributions from homeowners, installers, researchers, and organisations who can help us improve the accuracy or usefulness of a page. Contributions may include:

  • correction requests and source updates
  • suggestions for new calculators or guides
  • data points that improve an existing explainer
  • homeowner stories or retrofit notes for future case-study pages

How we handle contributed material

We review contributed material before publishing it. We may edit for clarity, shorten submissions, request extra context, or decline to publish material that cannot be checked or that reads like promotion.

Accountability and updates

Each main page displays a last updated date. If a topic changes materially, we aim to revise the guide rather than leaving an outdated placeholder online. If you believe something on the site is wrong or misleading, please contact us or use the feedback page.
