How we make money

NetZeroNow is free to use. This page explains how we fund the site and what boundaries we keep between commercial activity and editorial decisions.

Advertising

We may display advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertising helps fund:

  • hosting and infrastructure
  • site maintenance and development
  • calculator updates and content improvements
  • editorial research time

Ads are separate from the site’s editorial copy and do not determine what we publish.

What advertisers cannot influence

  • Our conclusions, recommendations, or warnings.
  • The topics we choose to cover.
  • The wording of a guide, methodology note, or troubleshooting page.
  • Whether a product, tariff, installer route, or scheme is described positively or negatively.

We do not currently publish paid reviews, paid rankings, or advertorial pages disguised as editorial guidance. If that changes in future, any sponsored material will be labelled clearly so it can be distinguished from our independent content.

We do not currently rely on affiliate links. If affiliate links are added in future, we will:

  • label them clearly
  • explain the commercial relationship where relevant
  • keep editorial decisions independent of commission rates

Why we disclose this

Readers should be able to tell how a site is funded. A useful guide should remain useful whether or not there is advertising on the page, and a trust page should make the rules clear in plain English.
